75th Geneva Convention competition was organized by Indian Red Cross Society in Collaboration With Government Periyar Arts and Science College, Cuddalore, on 13th August 2024. The program commenced with a welcome address by Dr. Nirmal Kumar, Assistant Professor and YRC Organizer, along with the principal and in-charge of the event. The program coordinator introduced the staff responsible for conducting each competition in various locations on the campus. The college principal addressed the gathering, highlighting the significance of these competitions in promoting awareness and understanding of the humanitarian principles outlined in the Geneva Conventions, with a focus on international humanitarian law and protection. Several colleges from the Cuddalore district participated in the event, and a variety of competitions were held. Students from Immaculate College for Women, Chinnakangakuppam, excelled in various events: -Nithiya Kamali (I M.Sc. Chemistry) won first prize in English Essay Writing. Ahansha Ravi (II B.Sc. Chemistry) won first prize in Painting. - Merlena and Charupraba (II English) won first prize in the Quiz Competition. - Taslima and her team of eight students from B.Com won second prize in the Skit Competition. V. Gayathri. won first prize in English Oratorical Competition. It was a memorable experience for all participants, showcasing their talents and bringing home various accolades.
