The Department of Computer Science has started in the year 2015 with 23 Students. The Following Courses Inception & year of Establishment was B.C.A (2017) in UG Stream. The curriculum aims at providing an introductory yet comprehensive view of established and emerging areas in the diverse scientific fields. It also employs the application-oriented approach, emphasizing the development of problem-solving skills in students. Our Department has one spacious, air-conditioned computer laboratory. They are equipped with 60 computers of the latest configuration, networked to high-end servers in the server room. All systems provide access to high-end software and are Wi-Fi enabled, providing access to the Internet which can be extended. The labs are equipped with LCD projectors to aid the learning process. An online UPS system is used to provide an uninterrupted working environment for the students. Our department organizes various Seminars, Conferences & Workshops in order to motivate the commerce students to get employment opportunities. Hence Forth the Department apart from Class room teaching it molds the students through various academic and co-curricular activities under the “ICWBYTES” - Department Association. Our Department regularly organizes Guest lecturers of various experts in the wanted topic and EXPO to enhance the practical Knowledge & Live online Classes conducted. Therefore, at Present our Department holds 350 (both CS and BCA) Students in UG.

MISSION

To create, share, and apply knowledge in Computer Science, including in interdisciplinary areas that extend the scope of Computer Science and benefit humanity.

To educate students to be successful, ethical, and effective problem-solvers and life-long learners who will contribute positively to the economic well-being of our region and nation and who are prepared to tackle complex 21st Century challenges facing the world.

GOALS

To realize our vision we must achieve the following goals:
1. Teach students how to use computers effectively, creatively, and intelligently. 
2. Teach computer science as a multifaceted, humanistic discipline of problem-solving. 
3. Provide up-to-date curricula in the technical and scientific knowledge needed for the professional and academic goals of our students. 
4. Encourage and participate in interdisciplinary undergraduate educational opportunities in various colleges. 
5. Teach students how to acquire new knowledge, independently, in a world that changes with ever-increasing rapidity. 
6. Provide students with experiential learning opportunities. 
7. Educate an increasing number of undergraduates in CS to meet the growing demands of the regional and national economy.

CORE VALUES

    The Department of Computer Science started functioning as a separate Department from 2015. 
    It offers B.Sc Computer Science and B.C.A · It has 7 well-experienced teaching faculties and one Lab In- charge. 
    Seminars, Workshops, Competitions are hosted. 
    Our students have participated in various competitions and received many prizes. 
    Our faculty members have presented papers in National & International Seminars and also published articles in UGC approved International Journals. 
    Our Students are placed in TCS.
