The Department of Physics celebrated Youth Awakening Day on 15th October 2025, marking the birth anniversary of Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam. The program began with Tamizh Thai Vazhthu, followed by a welcome address, a speech, and a poem honoring Dr. Kalam's life and values. Dr. K. Kalaivendhan, President of the Tobacco Free Society Movement and a medical professional from Vinayaga and Kalai Hospitals, Cuddalore, was the chief guest. He delivered an inspiring speech and distributed prizes to winners of the essay and drawing competitions. Rev. Sr. Mary Nirmala Rani, the Secretary, and Dr. M. Susila Devi, the Principal, also addressed the gathering, highlighting Dr. Kalam’s humility and inspiring legacy. The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Pavithra, a second-year Physics student. The celebration served as a tribute to Dr. Kalam and a reminder for students to follow his vision and values.
