Mother Tongue is a source through which we can express ourself more easily. It is a part of the personal, social & cultural identity. To realize the excellence and sustain the growth of our mother tongue, the Department of Tamil was started on the year 2017. 70 students were enrolled at the graduation level on 2017 - 2020. Every year, the Department of Tamil conducts various Seminars, Tamil Literary programmes and so on… for the benefit of the students as well as faculty members.

The Department of Tamil started functioning as a separate Department from 2017.It offers B.A. Tamil Programme.It has 7 well experienced teaching faculty.Seminars, Workshops, Competitions are organized.Our Students have participated in various competitions and received many prizes.Our faculty members have presented papers in National & International Seminars and also published articles in UGC approved International Journals.
