RRC -AWARENESS PROGRAMME

Chief Guest : Mr. Kathiravan, RRC District Supervisor

          The Program started with a prayer song in the presence of our principal Dr. M. Susiladevi and RRC co-ordinators , Ms.Durga , Ms. Saraswathi, Ms Bavana and Ms.Tamilarasi.Welcome address was delivered by M. Jayapriya, II-B.sc. Physics.Our chief guest Mr. Kathiravan RRC district supervisor was honoured by our principal. She was honoured by the RRC secretary Ms.S.Durga.

The motto of RRC club is

          To reduce voluntary blood donor

          To reduce HIV infection.

          To promote peer education.

Chief guest Mr. Kathiravan gave a useful talk on importance of HIV education in our day to day life. The main theme is “Prevention is better than cure”.

          He also gave a brief explanation about peer education, growth and development in the teenage, childhood, adulthood, adolescence, leading a good friendship. Finally a Power point presentation was shown about life celebration.

He gave a brief explanation about self-esteem and setting boundaries

CORONAVIRUS AWARENESS PROGRAM

          An awareness programm for Coronavirus was conducted on 15th February,2020. The Chief Guest of this awareness programm was Mr Kathiravan and a little girl Ms Bavadharani.

          Mr K. Kathiravan highlighted the importance of personal Hygiene and demonstrated the procedure for handwash. He explained about Coronavirus and its nature. He insisted all the students and staff to follow all the rules and regulations that our government has insisted. He stressed that everyone must maintain social distance to escape from the Coronavirus.

          He gave a toll free number 104 for public to get help and updates about Coronavirus. Through this toll free number the public can share and clarity their doubts regarding their health and care.

Following him Ms Bavadharani, a student studying in a Government School gave a speech regarding coronavirus and its nature.

 

Finally vote of thanks was delivered by S.Abinaya , III – B.sc Physics.

Thus the program ended with National Anthem.

Blood Donation Camp Report - 2023

            On behalf of Women’s day celebration our institution organized a blood donation camp inside the campus.It was organised and executed by the support of our secretary Rev.Sr.Sagayam.The camp started at 10 am with the help of Dr. Sridhar.Nearly 27 students from various department donated the blood.Totally 27 units of blood was collected.Students those who donated their blood was encourage by offering dates and Juice.

Awareness Programme on Anti drugs

            An Awareness programme on Anti Drugs was conducted in our college.Mrs.R.Mageswary, Inspector of police and Mr. P.R.Michael Irudhayaraj , Inspector of police, Reddichavady station, Cuddalore was invited as a chief guest for creating awareness on the ill-effects of drug and alcohol consumption in a comprehensive manner.

            Our college clubs and Anti drug club jointly organized an awareness campaign against drug abuse and illicit traffic. Our NSS volunteres created the awareness by issuing pamplets at cuddalore.

            Every year world breast feeding week is celebrated in the first week of August, witn an aim to raise awareness about breastfeeding and its benefits.Mrs. S. Rajeswari, professor ,at Kasthuraiba Gandhi Nursing College, Sri. Balaji Vidyapeeth,- Puducherry, has presented power point presentation regarding the importance of breastfeeding for young mothers and working mothers.

District level HIV AWARNESS RED RUN Marathon  -2023

            District Level  HIV AWARNESS RED RUN Marathon  -2023, conducted for college students of Red Ribbon Clubs, organised by Tamilnadu State AIDS control society(TANSACS). Our District collector and DSP opened the Marathon.The Marathon Starts in Town Hall and ends in Periyar Arts College.

            Our College Students more than 70 members were participated . In that Our student A .Parameswari, II-B.Com (CS), won the 6th palace.

            Our College Clubs in association with Indira Gandhi Medical College And Research Institute Pondicherry, Jointly organizes Awareness programme on Breast Cancer.The Chief Guest Dr.Porshiya ,Indira Gandhi Medical College and  Research Institute Pondicherry and Dr. K. Gokula Nathan, Senior Research Fellow Regenerative Medicine & Stem Cell Laboratory ,Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad.They gave a talk about the cancer and also explained the steps for feeding a baby and give an advice not to take the medication for their own during the time of pregnancy and feeding mother.

 

International Cancer Awareness Rally

            An international cancer awareness rally organised by Anvika Hospital and RRC Clubs of our college.The event was inaugurated by the chief guest Mr. I. Praveen Iyyappan. The rally commenced at the Town Hall, leading participants to the Manjakuppam stadium. Dr. Vikas Babu, Chairman of Anvika Hospital and Dr. B. Kalaikovan, a Pulmonologist Specialist delevired the speech on the stages of cancer.

Blood Donation Camp Report - 2024

Blood Donation Camp organized by Government head quarters hospital Cuddalore and YRC unit of Immaculate college for Women, Cuddalore. Our esteemed Chief guest Dr.A.Kumar, District Blood transfusion officer, Cuddalore, Rev.Sr.Sagaya Mary  Natchathiram, Dr.M.SusilaDevi, Principal, and Dr.Chitra, HR of Immaculate college for women inaugurated the blood camp. Along with Mr.K.Kathiravan, District Supervisor, Cuddalore. The event takes place in Immaculate Collage for Women, Chinnakangakuppam. The impactful event where our community came together to donate blood and support those in need. From first-time donors to longtime supporters, every contribution made a difference in saving lives. In this Blood Camp ,the  Students volunteers and staff members of Immaculate college for women, donate their blood  , the dedication of our volunteers, and the positive impact of our collective efforts together, made a meaningful difference in the lives of others.
