“Blood Donation camp is definitely a Noble Act.” 

          Indian Red Cross Society in collabaration with RRC and YRC organised a Blood donation camp on 21st 2020 from 9.00am to 1:30pm at Immaculate College for Women , Cuddalore.

 A short program was held before the donation drive where Mrs.T.S.SaraswathyAsst.Professor RRC Coordinator welcomed the gathering. 

          Rev.Sr.SagayamMary Natchatiram ,Secretary, Immaculate college for women presidedover the camp.Inaugural address was given by Dr.P.N.Ramesh Babu,Joint Director,Medical Services,Cuddalore

 He explained the benefits of donating blood indlude good health and reduced riskof cancer and damage to liver and pancreas.

          Dr.M.Geetha, Deputy Director of Health Services,Cud.Dr.G.SaiLeela,Cud GHSuperintendent,Dr.M.Suseela Devi ,ICW,Cud,Mr,S.Piraiyon Dist Governor of Rotary,Mr.R.M.Balasubramanian,Hon.sec,Indian Red Cross Society,Cud,Dr.N.Hafiza,Dist Blood Transfusion officer,Cud ,Mr.A. Vimal Raj ,JRC Convenor ,Cud took part in this camp Chief guest address was given by Mr.S.Piraiyon and Dr.N.Hafiza.They stressed on the growing need of blood in the state commended the young volunteers for the Noble act. Theyalso told A single donation can save 34 lives .one blood donation provides different blood components that can help upto four different people.A brief talk on blood facts eligible donors and post donation care was also given.

         Rev.Sr.Sagayam gave the presidential address.she appreciate the students who are all donate the blood and gave assurance that every year blood donation camp will be organised in our college

          Mr.Kathiravan District Supervisor,DAPUC,Cud expressed his gratitude to the Indian RedCross Society and RRC unit of the college for its continuous endeavor in this regard. 

          Nearly 50 volunteers came forward to donate blood during the camp nad gave excellent response.About 50 units of blood was donated to the blood bank of GH,Cuddalore.Our students once again proved their humanitarian spirit by donating blood 

          All the donors were provided with biscuits ,juice and water after donating the blood.At the last the blood donation donors were given with blood donation certificate. 

          Finally the program end with national  anthem
